Now United is a global pop group, whose members all come from different countries. It was created by Simon Fuller, former manager of the Spice Girls. As of April 2021, the group has eighteen members: Alex Rey, from Spain; Any Gabrielly, from Brazil; Bailey May, from the Philippines; Diarra Sylla, from Senegal note ; Heyoon Jeong, from South Korea; Hina Yoshihara, from Japan; Joalin Loukamaa, from Finland note ; Josh Beauchamp, from Canada; Krystian Wang, from China; Lamar Morris, from the United Kingdom; Melanie Thomas, from the Ivory Coast; Noah Urrea, from the United States; Nour Ardakani, from Lebanon; Sabina Hidalgo, from Mexico; Savannah Clarke, from Australia; Shivani Paliwal, from India; Sina Deinert, from Germany; and Sofya Plotnikova, from Russia. Initially composed of 14 members Savannah, Nour and Melaine joined the group in February, September and November 2020 respectively while Alex was added in late April 2021
In 2016, Simon began searching for talent worldwide for his global pop group through his reality show The Now United Show which is now a web series focusing on the members and their lives in the group.
In November 2017, the official website started presenting the group's members through teasers alongside their names and their countries' flags. Joalin and Sofya were introduced on November 11th; Diarra on the 12th; Noah and then Any on the 14th; Heyoon, Hina, Josh and Lamar on the 15th; Bailey, Shivani and Krystian on the 16th; Sabina on the 21st; and Sina on the 22nd. This led to their debut on December 5th, 2017 with their first single "Summer in the City". Now United has since released over thirty different singles with music videos corresponding to each.
