The brainchild of Daiki Tsuneta, Tokyo-based producer/songwriter and frontman for Japanese rock outfit King Gnu, Millennium Parade is a creative collective with a wide-ranging sound that combines elements of alternative rock, pop, hip-hop, jazz, and electronic music. The group's innovative style derives from its members' experience in music, film direction, visual effects, design, and illustration. Emerging in 2019, Millennium Parade found success the following year when their single "Fly with Me" was used as the theme song for the popular Japanese animated series Ghost in the Shell and received a subsequent remix by DJ/producer Steve Aoki. Collaborations with J-pop stars Sheena Ringo and Char followed, along with a second cinematic opportunity, this time for director Mamoru Hosada's acclaimed 2021 film Belle, for which the group provided the central theme. Later that year, Millennium Parade released their self-titled debut album, an ambitious concept effort rooted in Japanese folklore. Following a 2024 all-caps rebrand, MILLENNIUM PARADE built on the momentum of the vibrant singles "GOLDENWEEK," "M4D LUV," and "KIZAO" with "Blue," a cross-cultural collaboration with Saya Gray and Daniel Caesar that closed episodes of the 2026 anime adaptation THE GHOST IN THE SHELL.
