Description
38 Parrots is a series of Soviet puppet cartoons for children. The series consists of 10 short cartoons about the amusing relationships of four animals - the chatty Monkey, the shy Elephant, the eccentric Parrot and the pensive Boa.

The series was created by director Ivan Ufimtsev and artist Leonid Shvartsman from a script by famous children's writer Grigory Oster. The name comes from the first series, in which the length of the Boa was measured in elephants, monkeys, and parrots. In most episodes, the animals solve some amusing paradox involving different meanings of concepts or wordplay: they physically "say hello," "commit closure," and the like.

The characters were voiced by popular actors - Nadezhda Rumyantseva (Monkey), Mikhail Kozakov (Elephant), Vasily Livanov (Boa), Vsevolod Larionov (Parrot) and Boris Vladimirov (Grandma Boa).

The cartoons feature songs by Vladimir Shainsky, Gennady Gladkov and Alexei Shelygin to words by Grigory Oster. The Monkey's song is performed by Irina Gribulina.
