Description
"How the Lion and the Turtle Sang a Song" is a Soviet musical cartoon based on the fairy tale by Sergei Kozlov. Director Inessa Kovalevskaya continued the musical theme in animation after the popular "The Bremen Musicians" (1969), "The Boatman" (1970) and "The Tale of the Pope and His Workman Balda" (1973).

A huge number of people who watched the cartoon remember the phrase of the Lion cub at the end of the cartoon: "Ride me the big turtle!" but in fact such a phrase was never present in the cartoon.
